Project Brief

Develop and edit content for the Raising Children website.

The Raising Children Network is a consortium of three of Australia’s leading early-childhood agencies.

The Raising Children website is a federally funded project providing information to help parents make the day-to-day decisions about raising children.

The consortium member responsible for technical development, the Parenting Research Centre, engaged Red Pony to assist with the development and editing of articles within the website in the period leading up to and immediately after its launch.

The editorial component included implementing changes suggested by child development experts, ensuring a standard style and tone across all articles and maintaining consistency with the project style guide.

Red Pony was able to respond quickly to the network’s requirement for editorial assistance, resulting in a successful national launch of the project in May 2006.

Since this launch, the Raising Children website and the companion Raising Children DVD have won four major interactive media awards, two from the Australian Interactive Media Industry Association (AIMIA), and two awards from the NetGuide Web Awards, including 2007 Site of the Year.

Red Pony understands PRC’s complex communication needs better than anyone, helping us to translate our science into clear and concise pieces of work.
