ISC impact report
CLIENT
Infrastructure Sustainability Council (ISC)
PROJECT BRIEF
Copyedit and proofread the ISC’s 2025 Impact Report.
Established in 2008, the Infrastructure Sustainability Council is a peak body dedicated to advancing sustainability policy and practice in the infrastructure sector, working in Australia and New Zealand.
Having already assisted the ISC in developing their 5-year strategic plan, Red Pony was entrusted with copyediting and then proofreading the council’s 2025 impact report for members and interested parties.
In addition to the main body text, the document, of approximately 5,500 words, had several figures, tables, callout boxes, pull quotes and other graphic elements.
Red Pony was also tasked with helping draft the introductory message from the Chair and CEO.
As with many industry bodies, there were several language features specific to ISC in this document, which were outside conventional styling. Red Pony created a style sheet to ensure these features were consistently applied.
We ensured consistent presentation of numbers, lists and punctuation, applied styles consistently for use by the graphic designer and made suggestions on where graphics might best express the message. We also ensured the document was accessible.
After the initial copyedit was completed and the document was in its final layout, Red Pony proofread the designed version as a final quality assurance check, including further input from the ISC executive.
We worked seamlessly with the project lead at ISC to create a logically structured, well-written and informative document for the readership within deadline.
The ISC publishes its annual impact report on its website: www.iscouncil.org.
